まだ記憶にも新しいフジロック09のクロージングとして出演したベースメン・トジャックス。その単独ツアー、日本公演初日が大阪なんばハッチで行われた。会場に到着すると、お客さんの話しが耳に飛び込んでくるんだが、話題の中心はフジロックの『早割』チケットのことで持ち切りみたいだ。それほどベースメントが09年にクロージングとして素晴らしいパフォーマンスをしたという裏付けにもなる。 フロアに入ると、フジロックの前夜祭でお馴染みのDJマメヅカが後に登場するベースメントジャックスへと繋がる演奏をしていた。19時を10分ほど回ってから暗転。大歓声と共にベースメント・ジャックスが登場する。 ライブは最新アルバム、『スカーズ』が中心で、入れ替わり立ち代わりにゲスト・ヴォーカルが登場し、会場をダンスフロアへと変えていった。なかでも驚いたのが、最後尾のお客さんまで手を高く上げ、踊り狂っていたこと。ビート、ドラムス、ヴォーカル、パーカッション、様々な武器とも呼べる引き出しを惜しげも無く披露しながら、何度も「オーサカー！」と叫んではその度に会場が沸き立っていたのが印象的だった。 ベースメント・ジャックスは25日に赤坂ブリッツ、26日にスタジオコーストと演奏することになっている。取材として会場に来た事を後悔させるほど、盛り上がっていたので、お時間がある方は是非ともベースメント・ジャックスのショーへ足を運んでいただきたい。そして、踊り狂ってみるのはいかがだろう。 -->review(JPN)
