昨年にニューアルバム「アートワークス」をリリースした「The Used（ザ・ユーズド）」の日本公演初日である大阪。会場は心斎橋にあるビッグキャット。 まずオープニングに登場したのが、昨年のラウドパークにも出演した「Crossfaith（クロスフェイス）」。昨年「In This Moment（イン・ディス・モーメント）の来日した際に、彼等のライヴは初めて見たのですが、その時も良かったとは思ったんですけど、それとは比べ物にならないぐらい今回のライブは良かったです。ラウドパークには僕も仕事で行っていて、ヴォーカルのKoieと少し話をしたのですが、その時のモチベーションの高さを感じ、これはまだまだ伸びるバンドだなって思っていました。これからも彼等のさらなる飛躍ぶりが楽しみです。 そして、いよいよユーズドの登場です。SEが流れ終わると大きな歓声を受けメンバーがステージへ。オーディエンスは20歳代の方が多く見られ、その熱狂ぶりがとにかく凄かったです。それもやはり彼等のライヴパフォーマンスの良さからくるのでしょう。アンコール前のラスト2曲目では、オーディエンスをステージへ誘い、20人ぐらいの人達がそれに答えステージへ。アンコール1曲目では、ギターとヴォーカルだけでバラードを。最後の最後ではダイブをする人達がとても多く、約1時間30分といったところでしょうか、とても刺激的な熱いライヴを体感出来ました。 そんな彼等なのですが、本日は名古屋クラブクアトロ、明日は東京の渋谷オーイーストでライヴが行われます。ここで注目というより、行かれる方にはぜひ見てもらいたいのが、オープニングアクトに登場する「Uplift Spice（アップリフト・スパイス）」。女性ヴォーカルの4人編成のロックバンドなのですが、演奏力に歌唱力、とにかくパワフルでとんでもないステージを披露するのです。僕が最後に彼等のライヴを見たのが1年以上前なので、さらに成長してすごいステージを見せてくれるでしょう。なんで大阪出ないんだ！と悔しかった僕なのです。 -- Set List -- 01.
