前回と同じ会場で再びザ・プラスティック・デイの撮影だ。なにやら、レギュラー的にここでライヴをやっているようなんだが、前回との違いはというと、彼らのアルバムが発表されたということ。そのせいかも知らないんだが、ずいぶんとたくましくなったような印象を受ける。ソウルをベースに置くマグのライター、shawnがぞっこん惚れ込んでいて幾度かレポートをしてくれているんだが、韓国でこういったバンドが売れることはないだろうなぁと思う。といってお、それはいい意味でもあるんだけど、ポップなところが全然なくて、あくまで自分たちのスタイルを貫こうとしているのがよくわかる。グランジ以降の... といった感じなんだが、どこかでほのかに韓国を感じて、ほのかに60ズ・サイケの臭いもする。が、そんなスタイルよりも、演奏からほとばしるエネルギーなんだろうな、このバンドの魅力は。飾り物の音楽にしか興味がなかったら、このバンドに引っかかることもないと思うんだが、アルバムも出たことだし、じっくり聞いてみようと思う。 なお、どこで探しても彼らのアルバムはみつからなかったんだが、おそらく、ベストなのは彼らに直接コンタクトすることだと思う。My Spaceで、面白いと持ったら、ぜひコンタクトしてみてください。 comment and photos by hanasan |
