常にインスピレーションで溢れるベリーダンサー、アナン、ファラーシャ、オズマ、ヘンナ、睡蓮、ヨーコ、エシェはその創造性で東京ベリーダンス・シーンにおいて高い評価を得ている。彼女達がアフェット・コレクティブとしてひとつになる時、彼女達の情熱と発信力は強力なロケットのように飛び立つ。 今夜のスタジオ・カフェのパフォーマンスではこれが証明された。このショーは東京にある矯風会、女性の家H.E.L.P.の為のチャリティーショーで、アフェットは昨年以上の寄付を募ることを目標としていた。2007年には3度のチャリティーショーを開催し、アフェットは中東発の女性的ダンスで17万円を集めた。2008年最初のショーでの期待は高かったーなぜなら開場予定時刻の一時間以上も前からファンが入場口に長い行列が作って待っていたからだ。DJ B Krishta（クリシュタ）のクールなワールド・ミュージックで会場のテンションがあがると、睡蓮が100名以上の観客を掻き分けてゆっくりと蛇のように明るいステージへと向かった。ニヤーズの"Nahan （秘密）"で彼女がインド・フュージョンの魅惑的なヒップの動きを使ったダンスを踊り始めると、日本人と外国人が入り混じった観客はそれを称賛し互いにささやきあった。次々とパフォーマンスを繰り広げる魅惑的な女神の化身のようなダンサー達に、観客は同じように感動のため息を漏らしていた。  アフェットのショーの素晴らしいところのひとつは、メンバー同士のコラボレーションだ。それぞれがソロダンサーとして確立している彼女達は、この機会に大いに楽しみ、実験して新しいコラボレーションに挑戦している。エシェとファラーシャはファースト・セットでクラシックな音楽とモダンなクラブ・サウンド、ティンバーランドの"The Way I Are(ザ・ウェイ・アイ・ワー）"を踊り、輝くようなデュオ・パフォーマンスを魅せた。エシェ、ファラーシャ、オズマはセカンド・セットではザ・コースターズの懐かしい"Down In Mexico（ダウン・イン・メキシコ）"を踊って見せた。クェンティン・タランティーノのデス・プルーフに影響され、このトリオはビーズのブラとコインベルトを脱ぎ去り、ジーンズやホルタートップを身につけ、ロードハウス・バーの気分で映画の中の1シーンのような気持ちにさせた。この夜の最後のセットではゲストの二人も舞った。感動的な踊りを見せてくれたマイコと東京の伝説のスーパースター、ミシャールだ。アナン、ファラーシャ、ヘンナの3人のトライバル・フュージョン・グループ、ハリッサがアモン・トビンの超クールなナンバーを見せて観客をじらし魅了したところで、アフェット全員がフィナーレ曲でステージに集合した。一人一人が個性的な才能やスキルを見せ、お互いのいいろころを引き出しているこの様子を見ていると、急成長する東京のベリーダンスシーンでこのアフェットが非常に注目され、リスペクトされている理由が納得できる。最後にアンビエントな曲でフェードアウトする形でショーが終わりを迎え、アフェットがグループポーズを取ると、一斉に報道陣のフラッシュがたかれ、その光で会場は一杯になった。 アフェットコレクティブのモットーは「何かのために踊る、踊るための理由」。H.E.L.P.のために少しでも多くの寄付を募りたいと力を尽くしたアフェットは、この極寒の2月の夜に15万円の寄付金を集めるのに成功した。きっと次のイベントでは更にこれより多くの寄付を募ることが出来るのではないだろうか。次のアフェットライブは7月ということだ。 |
