毎年1月にベルリンで開催されるローザ・ルクセンブルク・コンフェレンツに出演した、バンダ・バソッティを撮影した。このイベントのプログラムは、社会主義思想に関する講演、パネルディスカッション、書籍や機関誌の即売会など、かなりお固い感じ。会場に到着して講演会場を覗きながら、ドイツ語で政治の話を聞いても理解できない自分がこの場所に居るのは、なんだか場違いで申し訳ない気分になったくらいだ。 しかし、21時からイベントの一環として行われたライヴの会場は、昼間の参加者層とは全く異なる、キッズで埋め尽くされていた。聞けば、ライヴのチケットはソールド・アウトしたとのことだ。 バンダ・バソッティは、バンドと楽屋で意気投合した、主催者の息子さんが吹く縦笛のメロディに合わせて観客が合唱する中、ヘッドライナーとして24時近くにステージに登場した。私は彼らライヴを初めて体験したのだが、このイベントの趣旨や、彼らの「イタリア労働者階級が鳴らす闘争ロック」などの、いかついイメージのキャッチコピーから、無意識に身構えていた気持ちがいい意味で裏切られた。 確かにライヴはパワフルで圧倒されるんだけど、説教じみていたり押し付けがましい感じは全くなく、思いのほかピースフルで、イタリアから来たオジさん、お兄さんたちがポジティブにロックを演奏する姿は、ちょっとコミカルでさえもある。あたたかなエネルギーと、目一杯の笑顔にあふれたステージはとっても感動的で、本当はカメラを持っていなければ、フロアに自然にできた輪に加わり、キッズと肩を組んで一緒にグルグル回りたいくらいだった。でも、それは次回彼らがベルリンを訪れたときの楽しみに取っておこうと思っている。 comment and photos by keco |
