--> Grand Hallway この日のオー・ネストには、4つのバンドが出演するということで、長丁場に備えて少々気合いを入れて会場に向かった私。しかし、いつもと違い、まずはバー・スペースで座ってフォー・ボンジュールズ・パーティーズの演奏を、そして、ステージのあるフロアに場所を移し、床に座ってトクマルシューゴの演奏を聴くことができたので、もちろん、両アーティストの演奏をゆっくり楽しむことができた上に、体力的にも有り難かった。…と言うと、自分が歳を取ったのを自覚せざるを得ないのだが、カメラを持って出かけたライブで、１度入れた気合いがユルユルと溶けていくような居心地良さを感じることができることなんて、滅多にあることではない。 3番目に登場したアーサー・アンド・ユーは、シアトルを拠点に活動する男女デュオである。2曲目からは早くもグランド・ホールウェイのメンバーが登場し、バンド編成での演奏となる。楽曲はシンプルそのものだし、ステージ上の派手なアクションなどはまったく無い。しかし、女性メンバーのソニアが、小さいピアニカやタンバリンなどいろいろ楽器を持ち出して、ニコニコしながら演奏する姿を見ていると、こちらの口元も思わずゆるんでしまい、ぬくもりのあるメロディーと、素直で美しいハーモニーに、なんだかホッとさせられる。じっと目をつぶって聴き入っているお客さんがチラホラいるのも印象的であった。また是非、フラリと来日して欲しい。--> 続く comment and photos by keco |
