この日は5月5日からスタートした小規模ヴェニューを回るクラブ・ツアーの最終日。このツアーでは9月ごろに発売になるといわれているアルバムからの新曲が多く演奏された。すでに1度以上今回のツアーに足を運んでいるファンや、ビデオをアップロードできるサイトなどで、デジカメを使ってファンが撮影した今までの日程の様子などが見れることから、すでに新曲の何曲かは絶大な人気が出ているのがはっきりとわかる日程だった。
この日は最初の5曲目辺りまでは観客が暴れる気配が一切無いほどおとなしかった。暴れたくても周りがおとなしすぎて我慢している感じもあったのだけれど。ところが後半からは突然プチッと切れてしまったように突然破格に暴れだしてしまった。おまけに最後の曲でフロントマンのサムが観客の1人をステージに上げてしまったのをきっかけに、続々とステージに殺到するファン達。ステージ上はもみくちゃ状態。 この日は音も良かったし、このツアー初日のノーリッジと比べると更に演奏が安定している感じもあった。そしてまさか、あのおとなしそうな観客がここまで暴れるとは誰が想像していただろうか。 comment and photos by emi |
