タイターはデンマーク出身のソロ・アーティスト。今年DMA（Denmark Music Awards - いわばデンマーク音楽大賞）にて最優秀男性歌唱賞を受賞。デンマークではすでに実績があるほどの人気を誇る。そして今回は初めてのUKツアー。その最終日であるロンドンはキャパが300人のブッシュ・ホールを売り切れにした。
フルバンドで登場かと思いきや、この日は1人でアコースティック・ギターとグランド・ピアノを演奏での弾き語りだった（いつもはフルバンドでのライブなのかどうかは不明なのだが）。前の方の観客は床に座り込んで、まったりと夢見心地で聴いている。美しいメロディーと、比喩的ながらも大胆なラブ・ソングや、まるで物語風の歌詞が本当にすばらしい。このブッシュ・ホールはヴィクトリア調の内装をもつ古いダンスホールを再利用してできた音楽ヴェニューなのだが、その内装がまさにこの日の音楽とマッチしていて、まるで夢のような空間を作り出していた。外には騒がしい街並みがあることは忘れてしまうほどだった。 最後の曲が演奏されると、鳴り止まない拍手に何度も丁寧に観客に挨拶をしてステージから降りていったタイター。心から拍手が送れるライブだった。 comment and photos by emi |
