長く続いたUSツアーから続いてセカンド・アルバムのレコーディングのためにUK内のライブ・サーキットからはすっかり姿を消していたナイン・ブラック・アルプス。そのセカンド・アルバムは夏の終わりごろに発売というあいまいな情報だけが出ていただけで、ひたすら沈黙が続く中、本当に突然に小規模なヴェニューを回るクラブ・ツアーをするとの発表。そして珍しくも首都であるロンドンでの日程は無し。
この日はそのツアーの初日。期待していた通りに新曲が沢山演奏される。ポップな曲あり、ダークでスローな曲もある。相変わらずすごいパワーでものすごいかっこいいライブなんだけれど、がむしゃらに突っ走るような新人バンド的な勢いは抑えられている気配があり、もっと自信に満ちた感じがする。明らかにソング・ライティングもライブ・パフォーマンスも成長した感じが見られた。 まだ正式には発表されていないのだけれど、セカンド・アルバムは9月頃になるとか。まだもうちょっと待たないとだめだけれど、かなり期待していても良いかもしれない。 comment and photos by emi |
