インディーレーベルからシングルをリリースしたのを始め、現在のLavoltaでの正式契約が決まったこの2年間、ほぼぶっ通しでライブ活動を続けているオックスフォード出身のフェル・シティ・ガール。最近のバンドには類を見ないほどヴォーカルが印象的。伸びのある歌い方をし、ファルセットもあればシャウト寸前までにも及ぶ。そして切なくはかないメロディーもあれば、シューゲイザーごときの轟音の嵐にもなる。
この日は彼らが目的で見に来たというファンも沢山いた様子だった。この日は売り出し中のバンドのショーケース的なライブだったので、4組のバンドがリスティングされていたせいか、一組に対する時間割 りあてが少なく、あっという間に終了となってしまった。『次の曲が最後です』の一言に『あぁ〜．．．』と感嘆をもらす観客達。このまま彼らの曲に酔いしれていたいっていう気持ち、わかるような気がする。すばらしいライブだった。 comment and photos by emi |
