the Wildheartsのライブを観たのは何年前だったのか定かではないのだけれど、鮮明に覚えているのは、堂々と大きく『生姜』と書かれたTシャツ（おそらく、ファンに貰ったのだろう。）を着ていたジンジャーの姿だ。それが格好良くも悪くもなく、ただ「ジンジャーってきっと性格良い奴なんだな」と思わせていた。 当時の印象は、音楽の才能は存分に持っているのだけど、ロックスターになるとか金持ちになる為の知恵を持たない感じだったが、何年もたった今でも、それは変わらないような雰囲気。 別にロックスターにならなくていいし金儲けにも興味がない。ただずっと自分に正直な音楽がやりたいだけなのだ！と言わんばかりに「真勇命道」と書された掛け軸を背にギター（時々、ベース）を弾いているジンジャーを観てると、それがあなたの生きる道なのだなと納得するしかない。 photos by saya38 |
