声の質や、モノクロの映像からうかがえた彼女の目の強さに”男前な女”を 感じたが、その印象通り、レイチェル・ヤマガタは存在感のあるシンガーだっ た。
レイチェルとチェリストとバイオリニスト、その3人の女性を取り囲んでい る男性陣の図は、「レイチェルとその女友達、そして、弟分達」といった感じで、心強い仲間達 に囲まれているようで羨ましい。レイチェルは、はすっぱネェちゃんっぷりを 気取りながらも、"Worn Me Down"をフロアの皆が歌った時や、プレゼントを貰 った時などは本当に嬉しそうな笑顔をしていて、”男前”に垣間見れた可愛ら しさが微笑ましかった。それは、強そうな女に見えるけど、本当は。。って感 じと似ているのかもしれないなぁ。 |
