会場出て友達に会う「いや～良かったぁ～。全部知ってる曲だったもん。サビは全部歌えたよ」「一番始めが『バケツリレー』だもんな」「ほとんど懐メロバンドなんだけどさぁ。今日は『ロード』と『リロード』やんないし」「レディングで観たときジェイムスが、オマエら『ST.ANGER』好きかぁ～！って言ったら、イギリス人は本気で『No！！！！』って叫けんでんの」「『ST.ANGER』からは2曲だけだもんな。しかもシングルカットされた曲だけだし」「もはやストーンズみたいなもん？」「そうだね。聴きたい曲をやってくれたからそれでいいんだよ。今日"バッテリー"をやってくれたら100点だったね」「ラーズは怪我で衰えたし、ジェイムスは一曲目から間違えてたけど、ファンが求めてるメタリカをやってくれたから良かったよ」

　ストーンズがロックンロールが老いてなお成熟する姿を見せている。では、ヘヴィメタルは？という問いにメタリカは答えを示してくれた。ヘヴィメタルだって20年も経てば、懐メロになるのだ。それでいいじゃないか。老いは恥ずべきことじゃない。求められているのであれば、形はどうあれ、力の限りそれに応えればいい。それが明確に見えたから感動的だったのだ。
