| Kemuri can definitely be described as Ska, with a bit of punk thrown in at times. Underneath the very fast and exuberant lyrics I could often the reggae beat that is the traditional influence of Ska. The energy they produce is mind-blowing, even _ of they way through the set they showed no signs of slowing down. That energy was transmitted into the audience as they were erupted into a frenzy by "Heartbeat." In between songs the audience would come to a complete silence as they waited to see what their favorite group would say to them. Then when the music started again - so did the glitter, crowd surfing, and dancing. |

| Kemuri is also different and rare because they aren't just about the lead singer. They are a group with no one more important than the next. During their set everyone in the band had a chance to shine and do what they do best. In their latest single, which also comes with a DVD you can watch how they interact with each other and truly enjoy what they do. The evening began to wind down with "Positive Mental Attitude" re-energizing the crowd right before the band left the stage. After a short break, they came back for a quick encore that included "Smoke." |

 By the end of the show Club Quattro was hotter and more humid than it's been anywhere in Japan this summer. The floor was littered with glitter and everyone in attendance was glistening with sweat. As we made our way out most of us were still bouncing to the music that continued to play in our head even though the live experience was over. |
| This show was only the second of Kemuri's appropriately titled "Typhoon" tour that will be on the road throughout Japan until October 6th with various opening acts. I recommend that you check them out if they are in your area and with 22 scheduled dates on the tour it's highly likely that they will be. |
