Absolutely F**king Brilliant!!
The Coral

Having a fantastic time, it appeared like the six friends were back in their basement listening to dusty old records, playing along with Syd Barrett, The Doors, and Sabbath. With white lights projecting the eerie shadows of his band mates on to the black backdrop at the back of the stage, Skelly decided to put down his guitar and join his brother on top of the drum riser. Picking up a pair of sticks he began to bang away on the cymbals while the rest of the band continued to thrash away below.

The highlight of the show came during the encore. After taking turns bounding on stage with their arms outstretched like Superman the group chose to mix things up. Having just finished 13 songs in a mere 45 minutes, they decided it was time for something a little different and proceeded to unleash a twenty minute jam session that took all in attendance on a wonderful trip. The closing track, titled fittingly enough "Goodbye", saw them switching back and forth between blues, space rock, metal, and of course psychedelia to create a jaw dropping display of musical showmanship.

With things beginning to wind down, he jumped down off the riser and began to count down from ten as the rest of the group finished the epic session. When he hit one he began singing the chorus of the song, thanked the crowd and made his way for the exit amidst the loud applause of the near capacity audience.

The Coral
Definitely one of the most fun shows I have ever been to. It's scary to think that these guys are still in their late teens and early 20s and will only get better as time progresses. Do yourself a huge favour and make sure to catch them when they come back around in July for Fuji Fest!
