| The great thing about this Street Beat Festival organized by Gridalo Forte Records, one of the rare indie labels in real sense, is that the main band of this series of festival, Banda Bassotti, tour with relatively unknown bands from overseas and gave those bands a chance to be exposed to mass audience. |

As Bood, the bass player, of Capdown said, "I guess nobody knows us really in Italy, but we are given a chance to play thousands of people. We are real grateful to Banda Bassotti" and so were Doberman, the second band of the evening.

 When you see them on stage, you couldfind that as well. Basically the style is cross between 2 tone and authentic ska with heavy Japanese touch's been absorved lylically and musically. Someway and somehow, some might compare them with The Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, the biggest of ska based outfits in Japan, but Doberman has got more down-to-earth ragged touches in their music and appearance on stage. Doberman has never released any materials in Italy and literally unknown in Italy, but the audienced did have a good time and they left a real good impression to the audience in Frenze. |
Doeberman is a 9 piece ska outfit based in Osaka, the 3rd biggest city in Japan, where you could find more Latin type of personalities there than in Tokyo, the biggest city in Japan. I don't know why, but those from Osaka are lot simpler and more straight with full of humor and smailes all the time... Well, I should not simplify the charactor, but over all, we think they appear more Latin in lots of ways. |
