| The last show of the Parkinsons in Hokkaido was to take a part of a gig entitled "Fire Starter Vol.9" which is sponsored by Tower Records in Sapporo. The idea behind this series of gigs is to introduce some indie based hidden talents to Hokkaido and this time there are 5 acts got on stage. |

But up till this time, there was no foreign band played, I hear. Then why the Parkinsons? The reason was simple. The Tower Records in Sapporo love them and the timing was right. In fact the top of the Tower Records Japan fell in love with the Parkinsons and was thinking to fly over to Sapporo from Tokyo to see their live. Well, it did not happen, but he was rather serious on this. Isn't it amazing?
The very first band of the night was Lolita No.18 which I thought originally all girls punk band, but the vocalist, Masayo, was saying on stage, "Now we have one chinko, "dickhead", in the band." pointing the guitarist, the only one wearing a skairt! Also the bassist Takochi was introduced as a new member and I found out that 2 members were left the band and those 2 got in instead at the end of 2001. |

| The band was formed in 89 and made a debut in a compilation album called "Benten Bento", Benten label's lunch box, in 94. Since 93 up till 2001, there was no mamber change at all and in that period, they toured the US, Europe, Korea and even China a part from, needless to say, all over japan, and released several albums one of which was prodduced by legendary Joey Ramone and Olga of the Toy Dolls as well. |
