Street Beat Festival in Firenze (3rd April '02) Banda Bassotti What's happening in Italy perhaps is nothing attractive in English based major music media, I guess, as I have never seen any article on that kind. But stepping out of "hyped media world of music", there are hell of a lot of incredible bands here and there and everywhere. One of a great example is Banda Bassotti in Italy. This working class rock band is much redder than the Clash and much more straight forward than Mano Negra and, also, has got more singing voices of audience than any of those. They organized a tour featuring King Prawn from the UK, Brahman from Japan and another Italian band called Senza Sicura under a banner of "Street Beat Festival" which kicked off on the 3rd of April from Firenze.
