MAG: Good morning to you Ashley and good evening from Kichijoji, Tokyo. Good to be reconnected with you once again.
ASHLEY: Yeah, yeah absolutely Michael. Good speaking with you again mate. MAG: Last time we chatted, you guys had just finished your Red Marquee set and were whisked away back to Narita Airport just minutes after to catch that first flight to Singapore. ASHLEY: You know what too? We nearly missed it! (laughing) Yeah, yeah it was really heavy traffic going into Narita. I think they had to hold it for us really. Couldn't believe it really. MAG: So are you still on that same frantic treadmill then? ASHLEY: No, no, no. We've kinda been here in the U.K. mainly now. And well, a lot of time in the studio lately. We've been busy working on the second album. MAG: When's that due out? ASHLEY: Hopefully next summer. That's what we're aiming for now. It's going to be a lot more in depth than the last. You know, we've have a bit more time this time round. And um, we've got a lot of wicked colloborations. Don't want to say who now(smiling) until it's confirmed and the record's finished, but many wicked colloborations. A lot more exlusives this time too MAG: Excellent, we're all looking forward to it. Speaking of which, in looking at your newly redecorated retro turntablesque homepage(www.x-press2.com), I see that you have a gap between the 8th and the 13th and then again from the 15th to the 20th. How are you planning on filling in these bits? ASHLEY: Well, we'll be in Australia in January. I'm not sure of those dates really. I don't have my planner right in front of me(laughing), but are you speaking about next month? MAG: Ah, I see. I mean this month Ashley. ASHLEY: Oh right. Well, we're here in London until next Wednesday then off to Japan for ELECTRAGLIDE right and another date as well the next day. Then, I believe we'll be there in Japan for nearly 5days then off again. I really dunno yet. I really excited about coming back to Japan. All three of us have been really looking forward to it. Had such a good time the last time. |
