キャプテンはいろんな土地から集まってきたミュージシャン達によって、ロンドンで結成されたバンド。ヴォーカルのリックとドラムのルーベンは以前は別のバンドに所属していたこともある。私的ではあるが、彼らがレコード契約にこぎつく前に何度かライブは見ていたので、今回久々に見て驚くほどの成長ぶりを見せつけられた。
今回はキャパが1000人ほどの比較的大きなヴェニューでの演奏だったのだが、熱気がこもる場内にまるですがすがしい風を送るようなすばらしいパフォーマンスだった。なんとも滑らかでスムーズな音。透き通るようなメロディーと心地よいリズム。完成度の高い演奏を、いとも簡単にやってしまう彼ら。 見ていて気持ちがリフレッシュされる感じ。すばらしかった。 最後まで見ていたかったのだが、次に撮影予定のバンドの時間が迫っていたので3曲撮影してすぐにヴェニューを出なくてはいけなかったのがすごく残念。 -->Mumm-Ra comment and photos by emi |
