【グラスト日記 3日目・その2】 3日目のピラミッドステージに朝イチで出てきたGlastonbury Town Bandは地元の吹奏楽団で、朝霧JAMに「陣馬の滝太鼓」の人たちが出るような感じと言ったら、イメージをつかんでもらえるだろうか。指揮者が「また来年お会いしましょう」と言っていたので、バンドにとって、1年に一回の大舞台なんだろうな。これからグラストンバリーに移住してTown Bandに入団すれば、この私でもピラミッドステージで演奏するチャンスが巡ってくるかもしれない、などと妄想してしまった。 そして、次に出てきたのがEnglish National Operaだ。なんと、グラストではオペラまで観られるのだ。ワーグナーの曲をやっていたのだが、フルオーケストラをバックに、間近でオペラ歌手が揃って歌うととにかく凄い迫力で、撮影しながら圧倒されてしまった。 |
