Step right up! Step right up here folks! Don't be shy. Behold 5 fellows from the Eastern seaboard of America who bring about an effervescent joy only possibly experienced as a youth set free within a seaside amusement park of your choice. Hence the feeling you get from the quirky quintet that brings about a fond reminiscence coalesced between legendary influences of Talking Heads and The Modern Lovers. Yes, NYC of yesteryear is alive and well in Alec Ounsworth (vocals, guitar), Sean Greenhalgh (drums, percussion), Tyler Sargent (bass, backing vocals), Lee Sargent(guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), and Robbie Guertin (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals) as they came together to produce one of the finest productions of 2005 that is finally seeing light over here in the East amidst their steady inclusions to the upcoming summer festivals worldwide.

Opening with the luring pump organ fun of "Clap Your Hands," this quintet take you on an under 40 minute amusement ride of sweet resonance within and without that has garnered fans in all corners of the world. Blending smoothly into the jangling, layered rumble of "Let The Cool Goddess Rust Away," CYHSY have you enamored in their simple, yet intricate constructions and Ounsworth's mesmerizing deadpan vocal delivery. "Over And Over Again (Lost Again)" perfectly pulses, slithering and swaying into a heavenly hypnosis amidst its keys loops, dribbling guitar and skipping beat. A track worth an album in itself, you'll find as you readily feel the rich story in itself swallow you whole. "The Skin Of My Yellow Teeth" baths in its snappy beat, trailing picks and steady jangle amidst Ounsworth's yearning awash a threading, walking bass. "In This Home On Ice" is a joyous ride abreast unbridled explorations that meander about in resonant reflections. The steady hypnotic nonsensical jaunt of "Gimme Gimme Salt" rumbles about in its robust interstellar manner. Closure could never be found better in the building bouncing bass sojourn of "Upon This Tidal Wave Of Young Blood." Encore please.
